This notice explains how California Institute for Skilled Trades (CIST) handles information collected through courses.lacitycerts.com.
Information you provide
When you submit an inquiry, we receive your name, email address, optional phone number, and training interest. We use this information to respond to your questions, discuss training options, and help you plan your next steps.
Submitting an inquiry does not enroll you in a program or subscribe you to marketing text messages. Please do not submit Social Security numbers, identification documents, or card or bank details through the inquiry form.
Website and security information
Our hosting and website services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser information, pages requested, and access times to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website. GoDaddy also provides website performance measurement.
The inquiry form temporarily uses hashed email and network-address identifiers to limit spam. Those rate-limit records do not contain your raw email address or network address.
Cookies and third-party services
Website features such as account sign-in, shopping carts, and checkout may use cookies to function. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; blocking them may affect these features.

Inquiries, accounts, and payments
Inquiry submissions are delivered to the school’s email inbox. Copies may remain in email systems and backups.
If you create a student account, access online courses, or place an order, the website may also maintain account details, course activity, and order or payment records needed to provide those services.
The Student Payments link directs you to a GoDaddy-hosted payment page. Information entered there is processed by the payment provider. The school may receive transaction details, payment status, and contact information needed to identify and record your payment.
Access and retention
Information may be accessed by authorized school personnel and service providers supporting our website, communications, courses, and payments. Information may also be disclosed when required by law.
We retain information as needed to respond to inquiries, provide requested services, maintain school and financial records, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations.
Your questions and requests
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you provided, or to ask us to stop following up on an inquiry. We may need to verify your identity and retain records required for legal, financial, or school administration purposes.
